MovingBox 2026.3.0 is available today. On supported iOS 27 devices, this update gives you two new ways to work with your home inventory: find a saved item by sight with Visual Intelligence, and choose how its single-item photos are analyzed.
Find a Saved Item with Siri Camera
Point Siri Camera at a belonging you have already added to MovingBox. When Visual Intelligence finds a confident match against its saved photo, choose the MovingBox result to open that item’s record.
Visual lookup gives you another way to reach your lending records. Open the item, mark it Lent, select a borrower, and optionally set a return due date. When it comes back, change it to Active. You can also find items that are away from home in Lent Items.
This requires a compatible device with Visual Intelligence available. Open MovingBox once after updating so the system can prepare its inventory index. Clear, current item photos help matching; active and lent items can appear, while archived items are excluded. If no confident match appears, use MovingBox search to open the same record.
Choose How Single-Item Photos Are Analyzed
Go to Settings → AI to see the providers available on your device:
- Private Cloud Compute is the default when available.
- On Device processes the single-item request on your device and appears when supported.
- Gemini remains available for cloud analysis. MovingBox uses Gemini when neither Apple provider is available.
Your choices depend on your device, iOS version, and provider availability. This setting applies to single-item photos. Multi-item and video analysis use Gemini and require MovingBox Pro.
Review the Details Before Saving
AI-filled details are drafts you can edit. Check important names, serial numbers, and values before saving; AI value estimates are approximate. You can correct the record and add details yourself. This release also makes browsing an item’s saved photos smoother.
